Diagnostics

imageIn order to insure success in our procedures, we take the necessary time to fully and thoroughly evaluate your present dental condition. We use the appropriate diagnostic tools such as low dose Digital X-rays, models, photographs, visual examination, full periodontal exam, cancer screening, and esthetic evaluations.

Our goal is to give our patients the necessary information and education so that they may enjoy a beautiful, healthy smile for many years to come.

Comprehensive Care

Looking for and finding the right dentist in which to place your trust is not easy. Once you have found someone that you're comfortable with, you often find that you're being referred to other unfamiliar offices for any needed specialty care. As it has always been our primary goal to insure our patients' complete comfort throughout their dental care, the dentists of Group LLC have made great efforts to learn the necessary skills so that these services can be offered under one roof, our office, usually at lower fees than those charged by specialists. We also provide all types of Cosmetic Dentistry if you wish to improve the appearance of your smile.

Dental Implants

A dental implant is simply an artificial root which is placed in the jaw in order to support a crown for a missing tooth or a group of teeth. Implants are an ideal tooth replacement procedure because they look and feel like natural teeth.

Implants can also be used to support full or partial dentures, eliminating the need for unsightly metal clasps that weaken the supporting teeth and to stabilize dentures where they can function efficiently like natural teeth.

Sometimes additional procedures are required for a satisfactory and esthetic result.

Orthodontics

Dr. Edelman does it all, for children and adults. He has over 15 years experience treating patients of all ages and has in fact treated patients as young as 5 and as old as 70. Although he is not a specialist, Dr. Edelman has totally integrated orthodontic treatment into his practice enabling him to better deliver quality dental treatment. Through extensive post-graduate training he has achieved Diplomate status in General Orthodontics. He was an instructor teaching orthodontics for several years and has taught in New York, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

There is a wide range of treatment options available including fixed and removable appliances. Fixed appliances are usually used for more serious orthodontic problems and can be either metal or tooth colored ceramic.

Invisible Braces

imageFor removable appliances there are several that we use but the most common is Invisalign. Dr. Edelman is a certified Invisalign provider and has extensive experience in the use of the Invisalign system for straightening teeth. This revolutionary new system offers an additional option for about 90% of the patients we treat and is now also available for teenagers.

This revolutionary new system offers an additional option for many of his patients. The Invisalign System uses a series of clear plastic, nearly invisible "aligners" to straighten teeth without wires and brackets of traditional braces. It is a completely new way of straightening teeth that many adults and teens prefer because Invisalign is: nearly invisible so no one knows when that an individual is straightening his or her teeth; more comfortable, without the wires and brackets of traditional braces, there is less abrasion in the mouth; removable so individuals can still eat all the foods they like; more hygienic because teeth can be easily brushed and flossed; and more convenient because a series of aligners are worn to straighten teeth instead of traditional braces. There are fewer doctor visits.

Cleanings & Periodontal Care

We believe that the key to optimal oral health is having healthy gum tissue supporting the teeth, therefore our Periodontal care is of utmost priority. We customize your cleaning schedule for your specific needs.

The majority of adults over the age of 30 have some form of periodontal disease. This is usually not serious and is treated by proper home care and regularly scheduled hygiene visits. Sometimes the condition is at the point where the roots of the teeth are becoming contaminated and there is chronic infection present. In these cases we often recommend scaling and root planing. When necessary this is often supplemented by an antibiotic being placed under the gum line followed by regular maintenance care. Periodontal surgery is rarely necessary but remains as a treatment option when there is no alternative.

Root Canal Therapy

Root Canal Therapy is probably the least understood procedure that is done in dentisry. The following animations will help you to see what the procedure actually entails. We use a range of techniques and materials to ensure the best outcome possible. Referred to as Endodontics, root canal therapy is normally routine and pain-free. Many teeth can be treated in a single visit.
