Periodontal Care: The majority of adults over the age of 30 have some form of periodontal disease. This is usually not serious and is treated by proper home care and regularly scheduled hygiene visits. Sometimes the condition is at the point where the roots of the teeth are becoming contaminated and there is chronic infection present. In these cases we often recommend scaling and root planing. When necessary this is often supplemented by an antibiotic being placed under the gum line followed by regular maintenance care. Periodontal surgery is rarely necessary but remains as a treatment option when there is no alternative.

Root Canal Therapy: We use a range of techniques and materials to ensure the best outcome possible. Referred to as Endodontics, root canal therapy is normally routine and pain-free. Many teeth can be treated in a single visit.

Oral Surgery: Dr. Dornfeld provides most of our more involved procedures, including, apicoectomies, extraction of third molar (wisdom teeth), placing implants and other procedures.
